The gas station is a basis for the classic corner store - the type of store that is found on just about every street corner, in just about every neighborhood across the United States. In essence, the gas station is as American as American Pie.

A typical neighborhood gas station carries, not only gasoline but also carry over 2000 everyday items. From gallon milk to a bottle of ketchup.

In a nutshell, the convenience store industry includes 152,000 stores as of December 2018 according to NACS. The combined annual revenue from these stores runs to about $700
